Football Update - UWI versus Harvard at King George the V^th Park: NO WIN, NO LOSS

UWI School played to a goalless draw against Harvard at King George the V^th Park in Port of Spain on Sunday the 6^th, 2002.

We put the pressure on their goalie from the first whistle. The ball seldom crossed our half of the field, but somehow we still did not score .

During the last ten minutes of play the rain poured heavily and everyone got drenched!

~~A return match is scheduled for Sunday 27th October on our grounds~~ . RETURN MATCH AGAINST HARVARD RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY NOVEMBER 17TH AT UWISCHOOL PLAYFIELD

Sports Update from Ms. Donna Crooks, Sports mistress

Results - Friday, September 27 - UWI won , 5 - 3 .

Two goals were scored by Conor Munro the captain of the team and three by Sean Spence , vice captain of the team . It was a very nail biting game , we were down 2--0 , then some how we managed to pull it off !

It was our first match for the season and we need to work on some areas . However the boys fought the match real hard.

Our next game is on Wed , 2nd Oct , vs Tunapuna Govt , at 1:00 pm .

Results - Wednesday, October 2 - UWI won , 2-0 .

UWI School played Tunapuna Government school and won 2...0.

Goals were once again scored by Conor Munro and Sean Spence

Come and support us on Tuesday October 8, when we play the Tunapuna R.C. at 1.00 p.m

UWI lost 5-0

The Tunapuna Roman Catholic School beat UWI 5...0 at the football match on Tuesday. They played a much better game than we did .

We look forward to a much better game from us on Thursday. This is our last game in the league. Please come out and support your team.

UWI School lost to Tunapuna Anglican school 2..1.

Conor Munro scored the lone goal.

It was a real rough game from the beginning, but UWI continued to challenge the opponents all through the game..

This was the last game in the league for us.

We won two games and lost two .

Thanks to all the members of our hardworking football team for their efforts and their sportsmanship.
